Pets Wonderland

We could have our own pets wonderland in our very own compound as discovered in a condominium unit at Desa Pandan, Kuala Lumpur. A 25 year old woman was arrested and claimed that the wildlife belonged to her male relative.

The enforcement officers from the Selangor Wildlife and National Parks made the discovery following the tip-off from the public.

The three endangered species, a young Malayan Honey Bear, a Leopard Cat and a Slow Loris were kept in individual cages in the condominium unit.

Initial investigation showed that the animals could have been bought from orang asli in Negri Sembilan and kept as pets.

If I am not mistaken, two years ago we were shocked by the fate of the two year old baby tiger, Niko. A good Samaritan has saved him just in the nick of time when he was about to be the next delicious cuisine.

What has happened to human civilization? Is this the way we show our love and interest in nature especially the wildlife?
