Nut

I sympathised with interior designer Tan Khai Yien who ended up with a 0.5 cm nut near her spine after underwent surgery to rectify her spine injury.

The doctor accidentally dropped the nut into her spine during operation to implant metal into her injured spine.

She was rest assured by the doctor that the nut was harmless and could be removed later together with the entire fixture in a coming surgery.

However, the doctor informed her that the nut could not be removed as it was too close to a blood vessel just a day before her scheduled removal surgery.

Once again, the doctor assured her that the nut was harmless.
