Warranty

A lot of things from household items, toys, traditional medicines to electrical goods can be found at the Pasar Tani near the Shah Alam Stadium. Mostly, the goods are second hand items and the price are subject to bargains, not much though...

Last week, my husband decided to look for the 'Astro' decoder since our existing decoder was faulty.

We went to this considered newly operator as the stall just been in the area recently...all sorts of second hand electrical goods from computers, printers and lots more to offer...

May be it was our 'good' luck or 'bad' luck, we spotted the only 'Astro' decoder displayed at RM50.00 and a week warranty.

We got it at RM10 price deduction after a non skill full bargained...not bad as the price offered was about one third of the market price(directly purchased from Astro agent) and a week warranty.

Just like the say, 'you pay peanut, you get peanut'...the decoder wasn't working except that we only able to use the clock function...

So, today, we drove all the way to the Pasar Tani to return the faulty decoder and claimed our RM40.00.

Hahaha...this was the tricky part, the one week 'warranty' only applicable to 'faulty' goods. The decoder was not considered 'faulty' as it still functioning when we plugged it...the operator dare to suggest that we should look for the maintenance guy to fix the decoder and normally it would cost us RM10 for the service...what????

I was disappointed with the tricks that the operator used...'we cannot take it back, otherwise how to do second hand business'...I argued as the lady told us that they had sold two units earlier...so it was not that hard for her to sell the decoder after all...

The worst part came from the violent voice inside the van 'hey, if you buy goods from TESCO also they will not layan (meaning no refund)!!!

We walked off as it was such a waste of time arguing with 'mentally' sick people...so the lesson we learnt...never ever purchased second hand 'electrical goods' from this maniac at any time in the future...and be cautious with the word 'warranty'...

Anyway, I wish to share the best 'warranty' deal that I had ever experience from the "AEON Jusco "...they offer two weeks warranty on electrical goods and 'money back guarantee'...
