Organ Donations

Humans are bound to errors and imperfections no matter how meticulous you are...just as reported that Britain's transplant authority was investigating several hundred thousand errors in its organ donor list stretching back about a decade.

The National Health Service Blood and Transplant organisation said a proportion of its 14 million-strong organ donor list has been affected by technical errors since 1999 - and that a small group of people may have had organs removed without proper authorisation as a result.

It was reported that the glitch affected about 800 000 people which 45 of whom had since died and donated organs.

What about Malaysia? Do we have a proper data registration and record on organ donations as we are promoting for organ donors? Shouldn't we learn to take better measures and adopt stringent procedures from what happen in UK?
