Friendship

It is quite difficult to find people that really harbour true friendships.

It is really touching story to read about friendship between Tahir Isa and Ismail Ali who have gone through the sweets and hardships together even at this point when Ismail is fighting for his life.

The friendship started back in 1990s when both arrived in Kuantan to start their lives as trishaw riders.

The duo were forced to quit the profession as the demand for the transport faded.

Seeing that Ismail had no one to take care, Tahir brought him back to his house. Both him and his wife have been taking care of the fellow friend since.

Tahir, who earns a meagre income by collecting scrap metal with his trishaw, has never complained about having to shoulder the extra burden.

Now, he has sleepless night thinking of his friend, Ismail, who was diagnosed with stomach ailment 5 years ago, as they are forced to move from their shack as the land occupied has been slated for development.

Ismail refused to follow Tahir and requested to be left behind. Tahir does not have the heart to do so as Ismail's health is deteriorating and worry lots of his friend well being.

Believe that not many are as lucky as Ismail who has been blessed with a good friend like Tahir.
